MyIPM for Vegetables provides Integrated Pest Management (IPM) information for conventional and organic production of vegetable crops including, cucurbits (cantaloupe, cucumber, pumpkin, squash, watermelon) and tomatoes.
The target audience is commercial growers (conventional and organic), farm advisors, and specialists, but homeowners may also find useful information.

Clemson University scientists are studying watermelon production methods to develop strategies to improve productivity and profitability of organic vegetables. “CucCAP2: Harnessing genomic resources for disease resistance and management in cucurbit crops – bringing the tools to the field”, will focus on the development of advanced genomic, bioinformatic and breeding tools; disease resistant materials; disease management strategies and economic analyses for critical diseases threatening cucurbit production.
The Cucurbit Coordinated Agricultural Project has been awarded $7.1 million from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Specialty Crop Research Initiative.
