CucCAP team developed a new database for cucurbit genomics

During the past several years, large amounts of genomic, transcriptomic and genetic data have been accumulated for cucurbits. These data have been extensively used to facilitate cucurbit research and breeding. However, efficient access, and ability to mine and analyze these large-scale datasets pose challenges to researchers, especially those with limited bioinformatics expertise. Therefore, the CucCAP team, in collaboration with scientists from around the world, has developed the Cucurbit Genomics Database (CuGenDB), which provides a central portal for the research and breeding community to store, mine, analyze, integrate and disseminate rapidly accumulated genomic and genetic data in cucurbits. A set of analysis and visualization tools and user-friendly query interfaces have been implemented in the database to facilitate the usage of the data.
