CucCAP Team Presentations at PAGXXVII

The Plant & Animal Genome Conference (PAG) is designed to provide a forum on recent developments and future plans for plant & animal genome projects. Consisting of technical presentations, poster sessions, exhibits and workshops, the conference is an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and applications on this internationally important project.

Members of the CucCAP team participating in the upcoming PAGXXVII conference in January 2019 include Zhangjun Fei, Rebecca Grumet, Amnon Levi, Umesh Reddy, and Yiqun Weng.

Zhangjun Fei,  Amnon Levi, Sandra E. Branham and Patrick Wechter will present Whole-Genome Resequencing Study of the USDA Collection of Citrullus amarus Plant Introductions.  Amnon Levi, Sandra E. Branham, and Patrick Wechter will also present Quantitative Trait Loci Associated with Resistance to Bacterial Fruit Blotch in Citrullus amarus USVL246-FR2.

Rebecca Grumet and Ben N. Mansfield will present Gene Expression Dynamics of Age-Related Resistance of Cucumber to Phytophthora capsici.

Rebecca Grumet and Yiqun Weng will present QTL Mapping of Cucumber Fruit Surface Properties.

Umesh K. Reddy will present De novo Genome Sequencing and Hybrid Assembly of Punica granatum, a Complex Fruit Genome and Genomewide Association Studies in Watermelon and Functional Validation .

Yiqun Weng will present An Old Dog Plays New Tricks: A Loss-of-Susceptibility Mutation of the STAYGREEN Gene Confers Durable Resistance against Multiple Pathogens in Cucumber.

Patrick Wechter and Amnon Levi are organizers of the cucurbit Genomics sessions on Sunday January 13.
