In Southwest Florida, moderate levels of whitefly nymphs are showing up in early crops. Reports indicate populations are increasing in watermelons, cucumbers, and other crops. There are low, but increasing populations of whitefly in squash.
On the east coast of Florida, moderate levels of white flys are reported in squash along with some silver-leaf injury.
In Homestead, although low populations of whiteflies are reported on squash, silver-leaf injury is reported in squash.
In Southwest Florida, populations of caterpillars are low to moderate. Reports indicate Melonworm populations are low to moderate in cucumbers & squash with new eggs reported in some melon crops.
In Eastern Florida, moderate to high populations of caterpillars are reported in squash.
In Southwest Florida, Leafminer populations are low and increasing in watermelon and squash.
Scouts report aphids are increasing on squash and other crops in the Homestead area.
