My background is in bioinformatics and my research focus is the cucumber pangenome.

Why did you choose to work with Cucurbits and genomics?

I am very interested in the cucurbits.

What do you hope to accomplish during your time working on the CucCAP grant, and what do you most look forward to in this position?

I think that it’s very nice to promote my career in future.

Now, I am focusing on the development of the cucurbit genomics database and cucumber pangenome analysis.

What is your favorite crop, gene, trait, pathogen, or plant disease?

Tandem duplicated genes in cucurbits.
