Cucurbit crop and disease management information presented at Winter meetings

CucCAP crop and disease management specialists presented cucurbit crop and disease management strategies at winter meetings in several regions of the country. For the first time ever, the Great Lakes EXPO was virtual on December 8 – 10, 2020. MSU Vegetable pathologist, Mary Hausbeck, presented Downy Mildew Management in Pickling Cucumbers and Managing Phytophthora Capsici in Processing Squash in the vine crop session. Proceedings from  Great Lakes Expo meetings can be found on the Hausbeck Plant Pathology Research Lab website at Michigan State University. The Cornell vegetable team presented vegetable crop and disease management information in a virtual format at the 2021 EMPIRE STATE PRODUCERS EXPO during the week of January 11 to 15. The cucurbit disease management group plans to make additional virtual presentations at commodity and research meetings in the Southeast and other regions of the c ountry in the coming weeks.
