In January, NC State Extension Specialists conducted a two day agent training focused on production of greenhouse vegetables including cucumber. The program agenda included Disease Management of Cucumber in the Greenhouse by NC State Vegetable Extension Pathologist Dr. Lina Quesada.
At the 2019 Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable and Farm Market EXPO, Michigan State University Vegetable Pathologist Dr. Mary Hausbeck presented Downy Mildew Management in Pickling Cucumbers, Using molecular markers to ID downy mildew from spore traps, and Testing forecasters to time fungicide sprays for downy mildew.
