The Cucurbit Coordinated Agricultural Project (CucCAP) is funded by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture at the UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE. CucCAP is a Coordinated Agricultural Project (CAP) project which is a type of Specialty Crop Research Initiative (SCRI) grant. This type of grant promotes collaboration, open communication, and the exchange of information between research scientists at multiple institutions. Also, this type of grant focuses on development of resources to help solve specific needs of specialty crop industries. The CucCAP website communicates results of a multistate, multi-institutional, trans-disciplinary Cucurbit breeding, genomics, and disease management research project to cucurbit growers, Extension professionals, seed producers and the public.
