CucCAP team members, the industry advisory board, external reviewers, germplasm curators, and guests met in Raleigh, North Carolina for an update of the Cucurbit Coordinated Agricultural Project’s progress since the group last met in 2017. Topics discussed included bioinformatics platforms, websites and workshops, GBS data and analysis, analysis of germplasm diversity, and selection of functional panels. Watermelon, cucumber, melon, and squash breeding teams presented their annual updates on development of genomic-assisted breeding to introgress disease resistance into cucurbit cultivars.
