The CDM ipmPiPE is a pest mapping and forecasting system that was developed by the National Institute for Food and Agriculture (NIFA) and its land-grant partners. The site was fully operational until Fall of 2022. Although forecasting has ceased, the map of Downy Mildew reports continues to operate in 2024.
Melcast update
The Melcast update is administered by the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Purdue University. It is a system whereby melon growers can determine the best time to apply fungicides. The MELCAST system uses scientific and localized weather data to determine when fungicide applications are best made.
